Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
PayWallet Private Limited ("PayWallet", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have across all our services — UPI payments, BBPS bill payments and recharges, V Mart (Village Mart) commerce, PayWallet Manpower services, and our education and rural development programs.
1. Information we collect
- Identity & KYC — name, phone, email, PAN, Aadhaar (stored masked), and face-verification images used to confirm it is really you.
- Financial data — wallet balance, transactions, bank/UPI details you add, investment records and commission ledgers.
- Attendance data — daily face-verification timestamps and attendance records for roles that require them.
- Device & usage — device model, app version, IP address and diagnostic logs that help us keep the service secure.
- Location details — the state/district/mandal you register under, used for team hierarchy and service availability.
- Installed-app safety check — because PayWallet does not encourage real-money gambling or betting, the app checks your device for known gambling/betting applications before allowing access. Only matches against our safety blocklist are recorded — we never collect or store your full list of installed apps.
2. How we use it
- To operate your wallet, process transfers, bill payments, orders and investments.
- To verify identity, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations (KYC/AML).
- To credit daily role amounts and record attendance where applicable.
- To notify you about transactions, services and important changes (you control preferences in Settings).
- To improve app performance and fix problems.
3. What we never do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your KYC documents except with authorised verification partners and where the law requires. Face-verification images are used for verification and attendance only. The installed-app safety check exists solely to keep PayWallet away from real-money gambling and betting — it is never used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.
4. Sharing
Limited data is shared with payment processors, bill-payment (BBPS) networks, KYC partners, and service partners for travel, gift cards or manpower placements — only what each service needs to fulfil your request. Government authorities receive data only under lawful request.
5. Storage & security
Data is stored on secured servers in India with encryption in transit, access controls and audit trails. Sensitive identifiers such as Aadhaar are stored masked. Wallet actions are protected by your MPIN and optional biometrics.
6. Retention
We retain records as long as your account is active and thereafter as required by financial-services law. When you delete your account from Settings, we remove personal data not legally required to be retained.
7. Your rights
- View and update your profile details in the app.
- Control notification preferences and biometric login.
- Request a copy or correction of your data.
- Request account deletion from Settings → Delete account.
8. Children
PayWallet is intended for users 18 and above. School-related services for Chowthan Model Schools are administered through parents or guardians.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as new services (such as UPI and BBPS) come online. Material changes are announced in the app, and the current version is always available here.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use Help & Support in the app or write to contact@paywalletupi.com.
